Construction benefiting community…
Although progress on construction of the secondary school building may have slowed during recent Covid-19 lockdowns and resultant lack of funds, progress was still achieved with ongoing benefits for the local economy from the employment of builders as well as revenue for building supply companies. For example…A builder unable to afford to continue his university studies, has used the money earned on the project to resume his studies.
Opening delayed…
The walls for the second story have been built with the roof, windows, doors and all the internal fitout still to be completed before the school can admit its first students… now expected in 2023 as funds become available. A third story is planned as the school expands.
The delay in opening has made it difficult to assist the graduates from primary school until the school can be opened. Fundraising is needed in the coming year to ensure the secondary school can take its first students in 2023.
