A word from the founder

Small Beginnings

Having been both a businessman and a business consultant, for the past 20 years, my wife and I have been seeking to help alleviate poverty and meet needs in developing countries. We have travelled regularly to these lands and assisted many expatriate workers there. As a result of such visits, HADA was set up in 1997 to address the needs of the poor and underprivileged and to assist projects that encourage development and inspire hope.

The Board

Other friends came alongside with a passion to do just this and so the Hada board was formed with a group of volunteers from various walks of life: finance, medicine, industry, and social work. Each one brings light and inspiration when it comes to backing worthy projects in any country where necessity begs aid.

In spite of their busy lives, each member of the board gives freely of their time to fulfill the various functions they have. Their commitment is noteworthy since they often serve for three two-year periods, after which they must stand down for a year before becoming eligible for re-election again.

HADA supports projects in Kazakstan,  Phnom Penh, and Siem Reap in Cambodia, China, Mongolia, Nepal, India, and Zambia. And new project applications are always appearing on the desk of the Project Officer.

How we work
