Health and Development Aid Abroad Australia Fund Inc. (henceforth called HADA) respects and honours our supporters and projects, their right to be treated courteously, fairly and have their privacy protected. HADA is committed to complying with the National Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Act of 1988.
Personal information is given in good faith by donors and will only be used to maintain or enhance their relationship with HADA and our projects. Names, addresses, and emails are given to the projects to which donors contribute.
Similarly, HADA will protect the rights of projects and their workers, providing only such information deemed necessary and appropriate to maintain the relationship between them and donors. HADA will monitor and restrict the amount of informational material sent to supporters and facilitate the removal of their names from mailing lists if they so desire.
As an advocate for the needy of the world, HADA will inform and educate supporters about areas of need and our response, and seek to encourage them with on-going developments.
Personal information is only collected when necessary and with consent. Individuals or groups can, for instance, make an anonymous donation or inquiry. Prospective donors may visit our web site anonymously.
Personal details are required to link a donor to a project, to process and post a receipt, magazine or letter, establish periodic donations, and maintain the relationship between supporters and HADA.
Each donor is given a unique number under which personal details are kept. This number and other details are used to verify an individual’s identity when they make contact.
HADA uses cookies to facilitate authentication and personalization across our web systems. A cookie is a small amount of data that is sent to your Web browser from a Web server and stored on your computer’s hard drive. HADA uses only anonymous information (such as IP addresses) to track how our online visitors use our website. This data is sometimes stored using cookies.
HADA has put physical and electronic procedures in place to safeguard the personal information of our supporters.
HADA will verify the security and privacy provisions of any organizations with whom we provide information about supporters. These include our bank and projects.
HADA will not share a donor’s personal information with anyone else, except the project manager of the donor’s designated project.
Secure Socket Layer (SSL) Encryption is used when collecting or transferring credit card information via the internet, ensuring a secure environment for the transfer of your confidential data from your browser to our financial institution using approved encryption technology.
HADA is committed to allowing donors to see and correct information that is shown to be incorrect or outdated.
HADA staff will clearly identify themselves when making contact with donors, and all letters and materials will contain HADA’s logo and contact details.
