A happy new year…
The children had a wonderful Christmas and holiday season together. The original boy, Tugume James, who triggered the formation of KCF in 2011, visited Uganda with his family for Christmas. They joined the children for a big celebration lunch and distributed supplies to needy local families…an incredibly special day enjoyed by all.
Holiday programme a success…
A holiday tutoring programme designed to assist both secondary and primary school children with their schoolwork, stimulate learning and keep them busy over the longer break were successful.
Change of school…
KCF have commenced gradually moving the secondary students to a school closer to the home (Moons Vocational) with less fees and fewer complications for the girls. It is an exciting new chapter for the KCF children.
Good news story…
One of the original beneficiaries, Friday George, has completed his schooling aged 20 and ready to start his apprenticeship. He faced many challenges…learning difficulties and physical affects from neonatal systemic syphilis. He maintained an incredible attitude has always demonstrated a love of school…a wonderful example to the other children! He is starting his apprenticeship in cooking and hospitality with Rabwogo Paul, a hotel/restaurant manager and a KCF Council of Elder.
