Medical outreach success…
The medical outreach clinics were an instant success!! Catering to a community with little access to medical help, the first clinic held on August 20 this year had 200 attendees. The nurses, lab staff and doctors treated a wide array of medical problems.
Power to the project…
With the installation of solar power, they now have a reliable electrical power for both community events, computer and educational events and medical outreach clinics and are connected to the internet for educational purposes.
Their recent clinic also was a great success with 201 people attended too.
Fundraising…
In Australia, their first major fundraiser was held on September 8, 2024. The Beauy Bowels Bash held at Beaudesert Bowels Club in Queensland had over 100 people attend for a fun day fundraising and learning about life in Nigeria. Thank you to all who attended.
Those benefitting
More than 300 people have benefitted to date including those attending the medical outreach clinics, computer skills training and other educational events. The graduates from computer classes have used this for applications in future education. The medical outreach has specific individual outcomes as patients would otherwise have no access to medical care. Those attending are looking forward to regular interventions.
New enrollment in their second set of computer skills is more than expected.
