War Continues…
Constant shelling continues as the Russians push further west toward Mirnograd. Our contacts continue to evacuate people as well as minister to those still there. They are thankful to those who recently gave some finances purchase medical supplies and first aid packs, tourniquets and burn packs, which are a huge need right now.
The next few months are expected to see more of what we’ve been seeing over the past few weeks – missiles and drones attacks.
Life goes on…
While the battle for land rages in the East, they were able to hold a summer kids’ program…23 kids came each day! The summer program, similar to the usual day center program, is packed with all kinds of fun activities each day, just without the homework – which of course the kids just LOVE! From days at the beach, to excursions at the dog shelter, and trips into Kyiv, the summer program is designed to help the kids have a great time enjoying the summer break. It was a time of great joy, much laughter and constant fun. The kids ran car washes, cleaned up the streets and had ‘help a grandma’ days. It was an awesome time for all involved…respite amidst the war.
