COVID-19 stops all planned trips
Uncertainty continues as to when visits, training trips and surgical camps can recommence. Covid-19 has significantly affected Uganda and ravaged India. The family of the urologist in Uganda we support, Dr Marvin, have recently been infected.
Fund-raising continues
The project has raised funds for KGS Medical Foundation, Maduari, Tamilnadu State, India – to build and install an oxygen plant at the Government Rajaji Hospital (GRH) to assist in the treatment of patients with Covid-19 infection and then in future to treat other patients with respiratory condition. This large hospital provides vital services for the poor community.
Significant funds have been raised by Gold Coast Hospital Urogynaecology Unit to assist FIUGA (Foundation for International Urogynecological Assistance) in supporting the health care costs for women requiring prolapse surgeries in Nepal and for training of Nepalese doctors in this field. Thank you!
