Another year over…
The thirty sponsored children (10 primary and 20 secondary) sat their end of year examinations with mostly pleasing results. Seven completed their ‘O’ levels. Speech days at both schools were well attended…large numbers of students, parents and community members attended to celebrate the children’s achievements.
Some students struggled to achieve the expected academic performance throughout the year due to the automatic promotion of students into the next grade after 18 months of Covid-19 school lockdowns.
Sponsored children are achieving more than academics…for example, Isaac is learning music and showing special talent playing guitar and drums.
A new year...
- A teens conference in January planned for further nurturing in all aspects of life.
- The school offices are being repaired for a staff workshop in early February.
- Planning and requirements for the start of the new school year are in progress…teaching schedules, government liaison, uniforms and consumables.
Sponsors needed…
Many more children would benefit from sponsorship to complete their education…their families unable to pay school fees and buy the resources needed. Education provides opportunities for the children to significantly change their circumstances and enrich their lives.
More than 50 staff and their families indirectly benefit from the sponsorship of the children with the assurance of paid school fees.
