Children’s Sanctuary…
The Waterloo compound is a sanctuary for 32 Orphans and over 800 children in the Kindy/Preschool and Primary School and up to 1500 children in the soon to be constructed secondary school by a related project – It’s Philanthropy – Building Education (SLE-530) – transforming the compound into a comprehensive community.
Kicking goals…
Their Sports program continues to grow with the addition of a 1st Division Team in the local league. FIFA continue to take interest, and Louis will meet with representatives of the Grant Approval team this year in Sierra Leone.
Five Club players are currently playing in the Junior World Cup tournament in Turkey. The under 12 & 14 teams are leading in the competition and will play off in the grand final game. International scouts are always looking for further opportunities.
The benefits of this sports program are far reaching. As well as the inhouse Orphans there are 50 outhouse Orphans, 20 Living in Academy Boys House and 13 in family homes there are 463 members of the sporting Club not including local volunteers and parents.
