Thank you
We would like to thank you all for your prayers and donations for Lebanon to help people after the August 4th explosion, our workers received the donations and started preparing food and hygiene packages.
Happy yet Suffering
One of our workers in Lebanon shared the following testimony with us: “People were so happy and excited and even some of them started crying when they saw food packages being delivered to their houses. Some didn’t have meat or chicken from a long time so they were amazed and thankful they finally have food in their houses. Our workers prepared 150 food packages. Each package costs $50 and each package is enough for a family of 4 for 10 days. The package contained: mortadella, cheese, cereal, sardines, lentils and many different basic food items. Meat and chicken were distributed as well which costed $300.”
Basics
Hygiene packages contained: “toothpaste and brushes, toilet and tissue papers, laundry detergent, soap…etc” and of course baby formula and diapers, a total of $250, were distributed. One woman thanked the workers and said, “Thank you for thinking of us – we the needy and the poor.” They visited houses with a medical team in Burj Hammod, Al Shouf, and Byblos. They did laboratory tests and also gave medicine to the value $350.
We also are helping in preparing hot meals for one of the hospitals and many houses as well.
An On-going Challenge
Thank you for letting us be a part of this and that we can make a difference in people’s life in our community here in Lebanon. We pray that we can continue to help people as the need is great and winter is coming and many people are still homeless.”
