Onward and upward…
The upgrade of the new Maxton Strong School Kindergarten building continues well and is scheduled for completion in late 2023 despite some minor delays due to elections, festivals, delay in deliveries and unwanted rain. The foundations for Stage 1 are completed ready to pour the plinth. Footings are dug for Stage 2 and in coming weeks the columns will be brought up to the same level as Stage 1.
They have also been able to stockpile many truckloads of sand and gravel on site for later use in the upgrade.
Minor changes to plan…
Minor adjustments have been made to construction plans to allow for a larger undercover area for assemblies during monsoon months which will be a valuable asset for the students.
More labourers needed…
The more labourers they can employ, the quicker the upgrade will be completed to the benefit of the children and the community.
