School thriving…
School is open and going from strength-to-strength with final examinations completed as the school year ends on March 31 2022. Almost all school members (200) were Covid-19 positive in January…all with minor symptoms and recovered within a week! There were no cases of Dengue Fever despite the high incidents in the surrounding community. All students and staff are now healthy and safe.
Currently there are 63 hostel children, 10 staff children, 70 staff/workers members and 8 graduates living/studying within our campus. In addition, 19 students are being supported in universities across India, 11 agricultural laborers work on our farm and some 700+ students are studying either online or attending the school.
Weather is heating up…
As summer approaches the biggest challenge is to complete as many projects and tasks as possible before it is too hot and wet with venomous snakes everywhere. Despite some bad weather the Agricultural Department’s mustard crop harvest was profitable and they harvested their first potato crop.
Banking issues resolved…
Navigating India’s new banking system has been difficult and thankfully issues seem to have been resolved, funds have been released, and progress is back to normal. HADA’s assistance with getting funds to them in a timely manner was most appreciated.
