Infections continue post pandemic…
Caring for the children post pandemic requires vigilance and regular monitoring of their health and good nutrition as Covid-19 infections continue. The fight isn’t over yet! There is no substitute for maintaining good health to minimise the risk and effects of Covid-19 exposure.
They are currently at full capacity to be able to provide the right care and education for the children in the right environment.
Eyes right…
An ‘Eye Camp’ was held for children in January. The children’s eyes were checked and some required spectacles. They were able to get the prescriptions filled accurately and those children are benefiting from improved vision.
School is back…
With school restarting abruptly in the middle of the academic year, many of the children have struggled academically with the changes required to their education programmes. Gradually they have been picking up pace under the helpful guidance of the teachers and the staff.
Changes to children’s home…
To maintain Government compliance with both girls and boys staying under the same roof, the entrances for the girls and boys have been redirected as a temporary fix on the ongoing issue.
How can you help?
Monetary support is needed to continue providing the care and education required for these children to thrive…many from desperate situations. If you wish to support Ashir Children’s Home, please click on “Donate to this Project” on the sidebar.
