Adoption and future hope…
Eight orphaned children at Ashir Children’s Home have been enrolled in a government program that may lead to adoption into families. This is a significant step toward long-term belonging and love for these children, and we pray each one finds a permanent home.
Orphanage complex grows…
The home continues to be a place of refuge and renewal for vulnerable children. Recently, a 12-year-old girl transferred from a government hostel found peace and belonging, further reinforcing its reputation as a nurturing and trusted home. Child Welfare officials have formally expressed their appreciation for the care provided.
Improvements made across the campus include a roof added to the first-floor patio for year-round use, perimeter fencing installed for security, and chicken coup rebuilt to withstand weather conditions. The grounds are thriving and productive with mango and coconut trees, and livestock such as goats, cows and chickens.
Vision for a school…
The long-standing vision remains to build a school on the GCM campus to further support the children’s education. This goal is a priority as the team looks ahead to future development.
