Educational and Recreational Outing…
In July, some of the children enjoyed an outing to the Zoological Park in Hyderabad…seeing animals they had never seen. It was an experience cherished by all.
Children excelling…
Two of the girls from the home joined the Government College in 2021 and are exceling with A plus grades in all their courses. This will provide many opportunities for them to pursue their chosen professions.
One of the boys who came to the home in grade 8 is now writing his final semester exams for his MBA in Finance!
Independence Day Celebrations…
India celebrated 75 years of independence as a country on 15 August. The children took the initiative and celebrated with some patriotic songs, and performed skits, dramas, and speeches.
Numbers swell…
In this last Quarter, 6 new children joined the home following recommendations by the Social Welfare department. Two new replacement teachers commenced.
Children’s needs met…
The academic year started in the month of July. We are thankful that all the children’s schoolbooks and other school supplies for the year were generously donated! They are currently preparing for half yearly exams and receiving extra tuitions after school.
Due to the untimely rains and the weather some of the children suffered with viral fevers. After early detection, the children were treated quickly to minimize the severity of the outcomes.
