Summer fun…
School is finished for the year and the children have done remarkably well in their final exams. The children who graduated last year and attending university are back for the summer break. Now for some fun…. the vocational program will enhance the children’s mindset and give them different fun filled experiences. Games, skits, and dance performances along with some puppet shows for the children t0 enjoy.
Good news…
Two children brought to the Children Home recently by the Child Care Department have settled in well and are happy in the Ashir Children’s Home family. Their mother died when they were very young and their father married another women who sent the young girl to beg for money and food to feed herself and her brother. They are now thriving with love surrounding them.
Ongoing pressures…
- The officials have again raised the issue of the wall to separate the boys’ and girls’ campuses. This has been clarified multiple times, but it is still not resolved.
- Preparations for the monsoon season and underway to ensure all will be safe.
- When school restarts the children will need essential school supplies.
