School program continues…
With school recommencing on 26 October 2021, teaching at the Preschool in Tria Leur, Cambodia has returned to the classroom with all Covid-19 protocols adhered to. Use of technology has enabled Will and Julie…along with the ELIC (Education Life International Cambodia) leadership in Phnom Penh and Singapore…to continue effectively managing the school long-distance while Will and Julie still await their NGO visas.
The ELIC leadership recently visited the Preschool and met with teachers, parents and children and observed classes. It was an opportune time to discuss ‘Cyber wellness’ with parents to ensure safe use of online devices by their children.
Students and Teachers recognised…
A virtual Recognition Day for Students in August recognised each child’s unique strengths and achievements. Certificates were presented to children by their parents. The teachers ongoing hard work and accomplishments, especially during all the disruptions, were also recognised and celebrated virtually in September.
Covid-19 continues to disrupt…
School was interrupted again for a month from 18 November 2021 to 18 December 2021 to enable all children aged five years and over to be vaccinated. All pre-schools were forced to close as all children under five years old were mandated by the government to stay at home until all older children were vaccinated.
