Breaking ground…
In May, construction began on the new school and community meeting place and adult learning centre in Badargonj, north-eastern Bangladesh, on land purchased by NHBMT in 2024. The project was delayed when planned funding was not forthcoming related to political unrest and an economic downturn in Korea.
The building costs are quoted as $17,300, and with donations through HADA, Caleb foundation and another donor in the Southern Highlands, 75% of the funds were raised, enabling the start of construction. The remaining funds must be raised in time to complete the work before the wet season.
