Upwards and onwards…
Since the project started in Melbourne, Sydney & Brisbane supporters have been planning their own “P4K Help the Homeless” program. In Mid-January both teams started.
In Sydney, they visited the Rag Trade area and have ordered special Homeless Clothing from China, which will also be distributed in Melbourne and Brisbane.
In Brisbane, supporters are working together to cook food in the IGA Local Supermarkets Kitchen to be distributed to Church groups for their Feeding programs, providing clothing and some accommodation to help the homeless.
Building relationships…
P4K want to continue to develop as a community…building relationships between volunteers and the Homeless and as a group, to help grown and develop the Homeless. They aim to treat people as if inviting them into their own homes, despite being out in a carpark or in the streets…it works! Over time volunteers learn the stories, names and issues of the various people and families coming and vice versa as the teams share with them.
