Kicking goals…
Sports makes a significant difference to young lives…health, physical and mental development, keeps them focused and out of trouble, encourages concentration, motivation and other learning skills that help their education, as well as their working and social lives. The football club is making great strides and is instrumental in achieving these goals for the children in the orphanage as well as in the community. The club now exceeds 150 children of which more than 30 are orphans.
The under 13 (U13) football team won a country wide tournament winning a $5000 USD cash prize and will travel to Morrocoy and represent Sierra Leone in the Junior African Cup. Three of the under 16 (U16) team tried have made the national under 17 team.
Club administration…
The managers liaise regularly with the Government Departments such as Department of Sport & Recreation. They have been in talks with the Ambassador of Sport and are in constant contact with the Sierra Leone Football Association to ensure the best outcomes for the club.
