Adventures by the Sea…
The children at Haus Pikinini had a long-awaited holiday by the sea. PNG children rarely have holidays and even though some had seen the sea, none of them had ever swum in it. They travelled by bus to Lae and then by banana boats across the harbour to Busama.
They stayed in a guest house and swam and snorkeled all day, ate lots of fresh fish and trekked up to the waterfall.
Christmas celebrations…
Christmas reflections in the morning, a live band, a delicious lunch and lots of dancing along with the neighbours’ children in the afternoon, all added to the fun and laughter created by a large group of happy children.
Soccer
The children attended soccer coaching and training with soccer trainers from Moresby. There are good players, both boys and girls, who love the sport and are keen to play regularly.
