Working together…
15 self-help groups with 20 to 30 members from low income communities meet regularly in southern Nepal…encouraging active engagement in saving and mobilisation of funds, income-generating entrepreneurship activities with training, and provision of seed support.
Health-related and social issues identified by the groups are addressed with health promotion and awareness sessions via short workshops and training.
Self-help group female members campaigned and were successfully elected to serve in local government.
