Manager returns to Mongolia…
Corrie spent time at home in the Netherlands to be with her sick father and for a much needed rest and spiritual renewal. She is requesting prayer…that the chemotherapy will be bearable for her father, will be effective in slowing down the cancer and that her parents will be protected against Covid-19.
Until her return to Ulaanbaatar in December, Corrie remained in weekly contact with the team to support and encourage them in the continuation of the ministry to the homeless people.
Outreach continues…
Despite the harsh winter outreach continues with the homeless people in Mongolia. The team are…handing out clothes to those in need, recommenced shower house days, using drop-in bus ensuring COVID-19 safe procedures including providing masks, preparing Christmas celebrations with help from a local church and generally supporting the homeless as required.
A young homeless alcohol addicted lady delivered her babyboy with the help of the team. The team organised a roster to provide meals to them while in hospital and arranged a place for her to stay. After sometime in the hospital the baby he is doing well and has been adopted out. Please pray for God’s protection over this precious life and that the cycle of alcohol abuse and addiction, homelessness and hopelessness in the family line of this little boy will be broken.
Community house ready…
The renovation of their 3-story building has certainly had its challenges but the community house is ready to receive participants for their reintegration project for former homeless addicts-in-recovery in the first half of 2022. First floor contains office and kitchen and the second and third floor is the community house.
