Working together…
Khorn Chivy’s mother and only carer died from cancer. Gratefully, an NGO related to BOH have taken her into their dormitory to support her life and education. Working together with other organizations is essential in any community.
Rice sponsorship deliveries programme continues to distribute rice to 20 families monthly. A crisis-lifting food package supplying program continues as funds are available. These operations solely depend on donations.
Visitors most welcome…
A team of 15 including 5 children from the United States visited for 2 weeks in August. They participated in many different activities with BOH…singing, performing skits, and playing sports. Having such joyful interactions with people from overseas help the children expand their perspectives.
Staff hold the key…
The staff hold the key to spreading a spirit of caring in this Cambodian community. Developing skills in “Basic Counselling” including self-awareness for the staff will not only teach skills but also a greater understanding and a heart for the children.
Bridging the gap…
BOH are using soccer to bridge the differences between Vietnamese and Cambodian students and instil a sense of belonging to each student and a realisation of their unique value. To help them connect, teams were formed consisting of both Cambodian and Vietnamese students. Each team decided their team colours and their uniform with their name and number on the back.
Two brothers, Gong Tei and Gong Mei, returned to the Special Class after a long break and the class has become more interactive.
