Feed them or Teach them?
Oasis Care, Zambia, was established to meet the needs of vulnerable women & children in the Kantalomba Compound, Ndola, where sadly, the high mortality rate was largely due to preventable issues of malnutrition and disease.
What started as a humble once-a-week feeding program has since flourished as a result of kind support from generous people like you. The managers of the project wanted to do more than just feed these women and children, they realized the need to educate them to learn how to provide for and care for themselves.
We have been blessed to be able to purchase a large 25-acre parcel of land where we have established crops of maize, bananas, cabbage, tomatoes, and onions.
Meet the Gardeners
The gardeners Benson and Alison are training others to make the market garden produce, and we can help them to do it by providing them with some resources.
