Boxes of Books Being Delivered

Work & Encouragement

While we work at collecting, sorting and packing used books to fill a container destined for the next location in a “Developing Country where kids need them,” the impact of our last distribution is ongoing. A beautiful letter of thanks was received from the Head Teacher of the Drasa Primary School in Fiji.

He writes:

Dear Sir / Madam, Re Donation of Educational Books I would like to kindly render my appreciation and gratitude to your organization for the timely gift of storybooks and reference books to Drasa Primary School.

We received 71 cartons of these resources which will be of great assistance to our vulnerable students. This was a very timely donation as we are implementing Literacy Programs in the school.

This noble gesture on the part of your organization is much appreciated by the stakeholders of the school.

Looking forward to your greater support in the near future. God bless Library Aid International.

Sincerely Yours,

The Head Teacher.

Other Beneficiaries

The container load of books and educational materials was distributed by volunteers with the Rotary Australia World Community Service ‘Fiji Schools Project’.  Beneficiaries, apart from the school above, included 17 schools (mainly rural, disadvantaged or remote schools in need of basic resources), The University of Fiji, a Technical College in Lautoka, and the village of Logani, near Suva, to establish a community library following a request received through Youth For Christ – Pacific.

Our sincere thanks to all who donate in one way or another so that this important work might continue. If you would like to assist us please click on the EziDebit or PayPal button below and follow the prompts.
